Our Courses & Programs

The unique Deb's CPR & Safety Training method uses strategies for learning and self-growth as the foundation for all courses and programs.  Classes are non-intimidating and easy to learn.  Look through our current course offerings below to learn more.

CPR Training

EASY LIFESAVING SKILLS

CPR the way it should be taught.... RELAXED & FUN!

Training includes Adult/Child/Infant and AED Certification.   Training meets requirements for 2 year certification and combines discussion, video instruction and demonstrations featuring emergency scenarios including hands-on training to teach participants lifesaving skills.

ALL CPR CLASSES INCLUDE: 

• FUN and laid back learning environment

• Free refresher sessions during the 2 year certification period

​

Community Level Classes do not require a written test. 

​

BLENDED LEARNING OPTION: 

• Do part of your class online (at your own speed) The instructor will come to you, upon completion, to do the skills check & certification

Classroom Training Times:

Community Level CPR - approx 3 hours

BLS - approx. 5 hours

First Aid Certification

BASIC FIRST AID SKILLS

Training includes Adult/Child First Aid  and meets requirements for 2 year certification. This course combines discussion, video instruction and demonstrations featuring emergency scenarios including hands-on training to teach participants lifesaving skills.

Community Level Classes do not require a written test.

Babysitting Certification

TRAINING TO BE A GREAT BABYSITTER

This course is designed to provide youth who are planning to babysit with the knowledge and skills necessary to safely and responsibly give care for children and infants.

​

Youth will learn skills in four core areas:​

• safety

• first aid

• basic care for infants and children

• leadership / professionalism

​

Hands On Demonstration Includes:

• Choking Infant/Child Techniques

• Basic Hands-only CPR

• Changing Diapers

• Bandaging Wounds

• Bottle / Spoon Feeding

Babysitting Certification and Babysitter’s Handbook included in fee.

Classroom Time:

Approx 6 hours (including lunch break)

Kids Safety Classes

Teaching Youth Safety in the Home, Online and in the Community

This Course helps kids with the next step in independence and helps parents rest in the knowledge that this course will help their child stay safe at home and in the community. The class focuses on safety for children regardless if they are home alone or not.

TOPICS INCLUDE:

​

Responsibilities when staying home alone, how to decide whether to answer the door (even if a parent is home), simple first aid and identifying fire and tornado safety rules including getting to safety . Understanding safety in unfamiliar scenarios: online safety and near aggressive dogs. Knowing the truth about abuse, abduction and stranger danger.

​

Hands On Demonstrations Include:

• What do to for choking

• How to operate a Fire Extinguisher

• Control of Bleeding
